Counselling or Psychotherapy is particularly useful when you feel you can’t hear yourself think or feel stuck and don’t know what to do next. It is well known to be useful when you have lost someone, or something, or a way of life or need to decide between several possibilities or just don’t know what to do next.

We live in a time of unprecedented change in our beliefs and values and in our expectations of our multicultural society. This is swiftly making an impact on every aspect of our lives. Sometimes this pressure on us to "draw a line under the past and move on" is so great that we allow ourselves no time to pause and reflect on what this means to us now.

I offer time and confidential space to mull over and ponder on what you are being presented with and what may be getting in your way, causing intense feelings of sadness, anger, fear and maybe stuckness and confusion.

During our session you will have the opportunity to talk and to hear yourself speaking and being listened to; to have this reflected back to you so you feel understood while you explore what you need. This process helps you to know what is important to you, and together we explore choices and ways forward.

I am committed to sound ethical practice and to this end have trained widely. I offer an integrated approach to Counselling and Psychotherapy and Supervision of Practice. I also particularly enjoy working with students in Professional training and mentoring.
